SERVICES TERMS

These terms apply to all services provided by For the Brave Co, including The Masterpiece, The Curated Canvas, The Artful Edit and any marketing projects or retainer work.
 Individual projects may also include a separate signed agreement, which will take priority if anything differs.

1. Services Overview
Services may include:

• brand identity design
• brand strategy
• website design and development (Showit)
• content strategy
• copywriting
• marketing support
• template customisation
• consultancy
• retainer-based services

The specific deliverables for your project will be outlined in your proposal and contract.
Any strategic guidance provided as part of this project is for general guidance only and does not constitute legal, financial or professional advice.

2. Payment Terms

• A deposit is required to secure your booking.
• All deposits are non-refundable, work-to-date charge if cancelled
• Digital products: instant access = no refunds
• Remaining balances are due before final files or the live website are released.
• Late payments may incur a 5% weekly fee.
• Payment plans must be adhered to; work may pause if payments are missed.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

• You may cancel at any time, but payments made are non-refundable.
• If you cancel after work has begun, you are liable for the cost of work completed to date.
• The Designer may pause or end a project if the Client causes significant delays or breaches terms.

4. Client Responsibilities
Clients must:

• provide all required content, access, images and information on time
• ensure all submitted materials comply with copyright and legal requirements
• review drafts and provide feedback in agreed timeframes
• maintain an active Showit subscription (for website projects)
• update domain DNS settings when requested

Failure to provide necessary materials may result in project delays or fees.

5. Revisions

• Each service includes a set number of revision rounds:
• The Masterpiece: 2 rounds (branding), 2 rounds (website)
• Curated Canvas: 2 rounds (website)
• Artful Edit: same-day refinements only
• Marketing work: as outlined in your proposal

Extra revisions are billed at your quoted hourly rate (£90–£150 depending on service).

6. Website Launch & Technical Requirements
For Showit websites:

• You must maintain an active Showit account.
• Websites will not launch without full payment.
• The Designer is not liable for hosting outages, Showit errors or third-party platform issues.
• Post-launch support includes 14 days of minor adjustments only.

7. Intellectual Property (Services)
Branding

• After final payment, you own your final brand identity (logo files, colour palette, typography recommendations, brand marks).
• The Designer retains ownership of working files, unused concepts and sketches.

Website Design

• After final payment, you receive an exclusive licence to use the final website design for your own business.
• You may edit text and images freely.
• You may not resell or redistribute the design, layouts or internal structure as a template or asset for third parties.

Portfolio use

• The Designer may showcase the project in her portfolio unless agreed otherwise in writing.

8. Prohibited Use
You may not:

• resell or redistribute any part of the design
• use the website layout or branding to create templates for clients
• share materials with third-party designers as editable templates
• claim the Designer’s work as your own

9. AI Protection Clause
Clients may not:

• upload templates, layouts, designs or branding created by For the Brave into AI systems for training
• use AI tools to replicate, reverse-engineer or generate derivative works based on For the Brave designs

This protects the originality and integrity of your brand and my work.

10. Limitation of Liability
For the Brave Co is not liable for:

• loss of income, profits or business
• errors caused by third-party platforms
• how you use or modify the designs after delivery
• delays caused by missing client information

Maximum liability is the total project fee paid.

11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
